What's the best way to clean "tennis/running" shoes?

Both white leather %26amp; different color shoes. With the white, is it okay to put them in the washer with bleach? With the others wash like you would your clothes? I have a bleach pen but it doesn't do the job in some spots.

Some bleach pens work better than others.

I recommend to put on tide to go on and let dry for 10 min and then smother bleach on the shoes...yes i am serious. After this is done wash them off with warm water and let them sit in warm water for 15 min.

You them either let them air dry or if u really want to u can put them in the washer

then...ur set to go!!
Reply:I've read that you are never supposed to put athletic shoes in a washer because it messes up the linings. I would not wash them in a machine unless it's your last recourse. I suggest you use a rag to damp clean them with a detergent or detergent paste. Try some Soft-scrub for the tougher areas. If you not worried about the linings; proceed with washing and put some money away for another pair when the soles wear out. I would not bleach it in the washer. I would experiment with the bleach carefully.
Reply:You can put them i n the washer and they make dryer racks for your shoes so thy dont clunk around in the dryer. For white leather shoes, Mr. Clean Magic eraser is a miracle worker for the leather and the sole sides. It works much better than bleach.
Reply:I throw all my shoes in the washing machine with like colors. I use bleach if they are all white or just soap on my colored ones. I have a pair of all white reeboks that I got last July and they look like I just bought them today. I throw them in the washer with bleach and then I have white shoe polish to make them even whiter.... I think I have OCD with how white my shoes are?? LOL.
