Reply:new balance are best for running - you can get a pair that will suit YOUR running style and physical make-up. google 'em!

for weights you need something flat, non-'bouncy' and with as little support as possible - you can actually buy 'body-builder' trainers which are cut away at the back but, honestly, an old beaten up pair of trainers is as good.

for exercise like aerobics i'd still go new balance - they can be really ugly but they are good tough well designed trainers that can go some way to alleviating the cartilege damage you can sustain douing anything 'bouncy'!!!(i weigh 17 stone so the shearing-forces involved in running and aerobics makes this a BIG deal for me - i can squat over 200kg but that is sooooo gentle on my joints compared with even a 20 minute run!!)

if you are new to training...or even if you, like most people, don't think much about the long-term impact of HOW you exercise then think about how and why you run - if you want a cardio work out then think about a rowing machine instead - it'll place less stress on your joints and builds stamina like nothing else, in my experience.(i used to row at club level and still take some pleasure in totally trouncing aggressive and ill-mannered gym rats who mistake arrogance and attitude for strength!!=P)

jeesh - i know this wasn't your question but, well, seems like i'm babbling now huh? still - you want a body? exercise is only about 50% of the equation - the REAL secret is getting your diet right - me? i LOOK at processed carbs like bread and pasta and i get fat!!! i can eat as much as i like but only meat and fish proteins and carbs from fruit and vegetables - experiment with it, it took me till i was 30 to find out what my diet could do for my gym routines.

ok, i'll shut up now.
Reply:Trainers that are comfortable
Reply:the ones that fit well and fit your budget.
Reply:either Nike Air or any kind of New Balance sneakers will work
Reply:airmax?
Reply:The ones that I like the most are saucony...but I will suggest brooks and asics. Try many pairs on and test them out. Pick one that feels comfortable on your foot.
