Best running shoes for mid-distance(5-10) and long distance(over 10) running, mainly road work?
are you talking about racing shoes or trainers? cuz trainers dont have a set distance they are made for, they just last anywhere from 250-500 miles.





now racing shoes (spikes mostly, not so much racing flats) are designed for certain distances. like there are sprint spikes that have a very "aggresive" plate that keep you on you toes more, then there are mid-distance spikes (800m-3200m) and long distance spikes (3200m-10,000m). all of these are designed for different track races, not road work (i assume thats training)
Reply:The best way to find the best distance shoe for YOU is to go to a running specialty store and have them examine your running form and the pronation (or lack thereof) of your feet.





If you don't have any specific special needs, Asics makes excellent running shoes for men and women. Look for a "cushioning" shoe, like the 2100 series or the Kayano.
