What running shoes should I buy?

I'm 200+lbs, with high arches and wear out the outside of my heels. I run about 25 miles a week. I'm getting orthos in a few weeks. Should I wait or will it matter?

What running shoes should I buy?
There are several great shoes designed for a larger runner with high arches. They include the Asics Nimbus, Mizuno Wave Creation, Saucony Triumph, and the Nike Air Max 180 or 360. All of them provide a combination of arch support and extra cushioning for great shock absorption. You should go to a specialty running store, try them on, and go for a run. Then, just choose whichever one feels most comfortable for your feet.

As for running without orthotics, I presume that these are custom-made, which is why they will take so long to arrive. I think you should try to run without them to see how your feet feel. If you experience any pain at all, you should immediately stop running and continue waiting for the orthotics to arrive.
Reply:Go to a store that will have experts on shoes. There really is a show for every foot out there. I didn't believe it tillI found a pair that fixed every injury problem I ever had. Find a shoe with extra support to the arch and stronger outer heel that will last longer. Shoes are made for everything, so get one that fits the event you do and the mileage. Good luck!
Reply:I have always enjoyed New Balance shoes. They have a wide range of sizes and are really comfy.
Reply:go to an official running store. The sales people there will know exactly what type of running shoe you'll need based on how you run, how often, and what you're looking to get out of the shoe.
Reply:There is a shoe for everybody, but look at these major brands: Nike, Reebok, Addidas, maybe Asics. Go to a good shoe store with a variety fo shoes, and ask the sales person, and you should be able to get a good understanding or good idea on what shoes are the best.
Reply:good ones you really like like airforce ones and ones as my bro would say ones that make you run fast
Reply:Go to Newbalance. they will hook you up
Reply:Brooks are usually the best shoes for people with high arches. They seem to have more cush in them. They are also the best running shoes for orthos also.
Reply:I think you should go to like a new balance store or a good shoe store that has a pressure mat. and have them look at your feet on a pressure mat and they will tell you what shoes fit you perfet.
Reply:Nike or Adidas-i like those brands

try all different types of shoes on and decide which ones fit you best

get something that will make you comfortable when you run
Reply:put your shoes on the wrong feet for a week then switch every week and they will last longer
