You should wear running shoes. On a solid floor.
Reply:Running bare foot can provide a better stability and muscle strength in you r foot and ankle. It is something that is reccommended in training to develop better style also.

Try it over small distances.

If you get any unusual pains give it a break for while but do try it.
Reply:You still want running shoes/sneakers w/some support ... esp if you go "long distances" %26amp; want your arches to hold up.

An added benefit is that you won't have to worry about stubbing your toes.
Reply:it can get slippery and cold especially if you live in britain!
Reply:my first thought was yes, but I read hte other day that there are some benefits to no shoes too so whatever you are comfortable in
Reply:I wouldn't you would wear out some good shoes fast and your floor... You should stay with socks or something, if it's carpeted.
Reply:Yes, you should as you still risk damage if you don't. But why wouldn't you want to run whilst it's raining? That's the best time to run! :o)
