Wow, it's been years since I was running competitively, I'm surprised to see that Asics is still using that gel thing.

There's not enough info to decide which one is best for you. The pitch for the 1120 and 1130 seem to emphasize stability, especially the 1130. If you have overpronation problems, stability is important. If you are a heavier runner, you may be more apt to overpronate. But there are other factors also, like the way your legs are built and your running form. For example I have somewhat bowed tibias, and even orthotics could not compensate for that.

If you're not currently running, it's hard to say for sure if you need extra stability wihout having someone knowledgeable examine your form or biomechanics.

The 2120 seems to emphasize light weight and cushioning. It says it has materials to correct "degree and velocity of pronation," which is vague, but it doesn't mention stability. So this shoe would seem to favor a lighter runner, without any history of pronation problems and relatively few stress-type injuries.

Besides that stability-or-cushioning factor, it is important that you try on the shoes and see which one fits best and feels the most comfortable. Jog around in them, if one of them doesn't feel right, it's probably not.

Asics started that gel thing about 20 years ago, IMHO it was a gimmick then and it's a gimmick now. Fortunately they don't use it to inflate the price of their shoes the way Nike does with Air. The important thing is that a shoe is made of good materials, is well-constructed on a good last, fits well and feels comfortable.
Reply:go for the first ones. they offer about the same stability. i am guessing these are going to be your trainer shoes and you have normal feet. they are about equal, so big differences.
Reply:the asics kayano 12's are the best but expensive

If you dont want those get the asics gel 1120 OR asics 2130s'
