Best Running shoes (for the mile)?
There isn't a specific running shoe that is the best. If you had a specific running shoe/attire store (i.e. Fleet Feet), I would go and talk to them about your activities and see if you truly need them. The advantage of any running-specific store is that they now everything about running shoes and will fit you into the correct shoe.

For shin splints, I would try not to run on my/your toes. Use your heel to strike the ground first and let the rest come naturally. I also have shin splints and the best type of shoe is the shoe that has a lot of cushioning while having a lot of structural strength.
Reply:well first, your not supposed to be running on your toes.. second i think something thats light-weight would be most comfortable for you.. maybe try a running-shoe brand like new balance? or nike? any athletic brand would sell running shoes.
Reply:I would suggest spikes for the mile and anything under that distance. I ran the mile with spikes for four years and never had problems. Anything over the mile i would not wear spikes.
Reply:Personally, I don't like running any track events in spikes. Maybe, you could get some spikes and not wear the spikes in them, or wear racing flats! Hope this helped!
Reply:Nike Zoom Milers

They're the way to go
