Whats the best brand of running shoes?
Personally I do well with New Balance, but like so many have said; it all depends on your foot. At the shoe store, if the employees assist their customers, so that could be of help. But watch out, people tend to get too dependent on their shoes and if you buy new shoes too often, your foot wont get much stronger. That is why you shouldn't try to get the most high-tech expensive model out there. Some people get injuries because their foot or ankle is weak and end up running in classier shoes and never really heal. Nike has a good shoe [in which I forget the name] that simulated the freedom of running barefoot with the proper support at the same time. I would suggest those. Also do a few strides after your workout barefoot in the grass.
Reply:those nikes you are talking about are nike frees. I personally like them, but they took me half a month to get used to them Report It

Reply:honestly it all depends on your foot. a running shoe should be light weight, and provide you the support you need.

for me personally asics are the best. \

there's this website i went to that was really helpful and i feel alot better when i run

Reply:reebok
Reply:The best pair of running shoes I've ever had and the only ones I use are Brooks (Adreneline GTS series) But if I'm running trails I use Adidas Super Nova trail shoe.
Reply:Ok well im sorry to go against the common idea but ive heard that Nike are good but that they have little to no support in them for your foot and your arch. The best shoe for long distance, i would have to say, would be Brooks because they are very light weight, they are one of the best supporting running shoes and they feel great on the bottom of your foot due to the gel, silicon, and water undersides. They are a bit more expensive then most but the product is much better for your foot. Also get some insoles that fit the curve of your fot so you dont roll in or out too much.
Reply:it depends on what you like.

usually nike, reebok, new balance, any other brand such as that.

definatly [sp?] not vans. or shoes with a flat surface on the bottom
Reply:Nike is my preference, but I've heard many others that hate Nike running shoes, so it's really up to the individual.
Reply:i like ascis but brooks always worked for me
Reply:it depends

cross-country-asics (most definitley!)

distance track-nike

short distance track-nike

i like nike for track but new balnce is okay..its really your preference whatever is comfortable...they make special shoes for cross country and track by nike
Reply:NIKE
Reply:saucony....its the best!!! this brand spends less money on advertising like nike and more money on the shoe! i m a competitive runner and saucony is the only shoe that gives me the support and comfort i need! i dont buy n e other brand it the only one i trust!!!
Reply:Asics are the best running shoes. Theyre expensive but they last for a while. Mine were about 80 dollars.
Reply:Nike is the best kind of running shoes.
Reply:New Balance
Reply:No such thing, otherwise there would only be one brand and one model!!

You need to find the shoe that works best for you.

Go to a specialist running store for a "fit" they will diagnose your running style and let you try on many pairs till you find the one that work.
