or are they bad for your knees?

Are these good running shoes?
Ask 100 runners what shoes they like and you get 100 different answers! There are many good shoes on the market... Asics, NB, etc
My advise is to go to a good running store and pay for a good pair and make sure they are properly fitted.
Once you find a pair that work that model until they are discontunued.
And make sure to replace them every 500 miles or so

Reply:Shoes are shoes, and shoes are good for the person's feet and use, not style/fashion and what not. I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren't necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven't, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. Good luck!!!

Reply:nike plus is a waste of money. i have been running track (distance and short distance as well as javelin throwing) and the best brand hands down is asics. good luck!
Reply:Those aren't running shoes. Go to a specialty store where they analyze your foot-striking.
As for the typical 'weekend warrior' runners that blab on and on about Asics this, Asics that:
Asics are the most rigid, poorly cushioned running shoes ever made. Not only that, they are ridiculously overpriced. Sure, they last forever. That doesn't mean they are a good running shoe. Plus, most of the mens' versions weigh around 13 ounces (so heavy!). All of these people are pushing Asics because they don't know anything about running fast (unless you call a 6 mile run at 12:00 minute mile pace fast).
That's just my 2 cents. You ultimately have to decide which shoe feels the best for YOU. Don't buy online. Go somewhere where you can try shoes on.
Reply:Those are more fashion shoes. If you want to take it seriously and not get injured, don't worry about what your running shoes look like. Worry about what fits and works right.
Do NOT buy those shoes for running.
Reply:They're fashion shoes.
If you want shoes that are good for your knees go to a running store and get properly fitted. They'll send you home with Asics, Brooks, Saucony or Mizuno (most likely). Those shoes will last longer, be more comfortable and be the best for your knees/ankles/legs/everything.
Reply:buy asics or adidas, those not only are ugly, but they have a flat bottom, short toe, and odd looking heel/ankle support
nike is so overrated
Reply:idk. i prefer new balance.
