new balance and if you get some dr. scholls inserts you can go all day, but with inserts you gotta make such they fit good or they will be moving around in the shoe and make for a bumpy ride.
What brand of running shoes is the most comfortable for long distances and lasts the longest?
I have bad knees, and flat feet (though I wear prescription orthotics). Above all else, I love the New Balance1060. They feature the abzorb FL (full length), so the cushioning isn't just under the heel, like in most shoes, but goes all the way up to the medial arch (just behind the ball of your foot) and up to the toes. I'm on my second pair, since I run almost 40 miles a week, but the first pair served over a year. Most other shoes I've had wear out in 3-4 months. Plus, it's New Balance, so it's made entirely of synthetic materials. You can wash them and set them out in the sun, no problem. A little laundry detergent and water in a bucket. Piece of cake. I used to cross the creek in them on a daily basis. They do dry fast. Only downfalls... (1) too much white - gets dirty, and (2) they're a little pricy. I think I paid about $110. (better than the $60 x 3 pairs in a year, but still a lot of money for shoes)
Reply:you should try on the following brands %26amp; decide which one fits your arch the best -- they are all great shoes... but everyone's feet are different:
New Balance
Asiacs
Nike
Brooks
